With Marcus Rashford out for a couple of months, the team are in urgent need of a striker. Since August reports have stated that Boubakary Soumare is high on the list and Manchester United have sent scouts out to Lille once again to check on the player. As with all January transfer windows, the best players are either overpriced or not available. Manchester United will have to overpay if they want to sign Soumare. Another option would be a loan deal until the end of the season with the clause of signing him if all parties are happy.

Marcos Llorente – Atletico Madrid

In another potential loan deal, Manchester United will try to sign Spanish International defensive midfielder Marcos Llorente. Reports from Spain have stated that the team are reluctant for a loan deal and will press for a £50 million fee. With Nemanja Matic currently playing under-par this is an area where the Red Devils need to get quality.

Bruno Fernandes – Sporting Lisbon

The Portuguese International has been on the list for joining Manchester United in the past 2 transfer windows and for some reason this has not materialised. Reports from the Media suggest Sporting have increased their valuation of the player to 20 Million Euros more than 4 months ago. If this is the hold up then expect other teams to be in the hunt, Bruno Fernandes is one of the hottest midfielders in Europe scoring 15 goals this season and 32 last.
